When does a new dare arrive?
Every day at midnight, in your device's local time. Today's dare stays open until then, so there's no rush.
Can I skip a dare I can't do?
Yes. You get one reroll per day using the die on the dare card. The original dare is marked as skipped. In hard mode there are no rerolls.
Why can't I upload a photo for some dares?
Some dares are marked “Camera only”. They're about noticing things right now, so they need a fresh photo taken in the app.
How do streaks work?
Complete the daily dare on consecutive days to build a streak. Missing a day resets it, but your diary and collections stay exactly as they were.
I'm not getting reminders.
Check iOS Settings → Dare Roll → Notifications and make sure they're allowed. Focus modes can also silence them. Reminder times can be changed in the app's settings.
The camera shows a black screen.
Go to iOS Settings → Dare Roll and turn on Camera access. If it's already on, close the app fully and reopen it.
Do my photos sync between devices or get backed up?
Dare Roll stores everything locally on your iPhone and doesn't sync to our servers (we don't have any). Your diary is included in your regular iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or computer), so restoring a backup restores the diary. You can also save any photo or share card to your Photos.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a single entry from its detail screen, or use Profile → Settings → Erase everything. Deleting the app also removes all its data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
